Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy in her performance when as compared to the performance of the other students. Then she began to consider alternatives. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. The group did not appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. The album came out in 1992. The album had a tremendous success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in the month of November. This C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The album is consisting of four tracks that were improvised. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her album Now I Let you go... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first independently-released album. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. The album features covers of such songs as No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale.
